EP3 Remote Shutter / intervalometer ?
« on: September 19, 2011, 07:19:26 AM »
Hello...

Does the EP3 support intervalometer and remote shutters etc?  I see on B&H they offer a remote corded and wireless but I have not see anything that can support the intervalometer.

Thoughts?

Also, side note, does the EP3 support studio light flashes?

Yes. It uses the standard remote cord input (just like the E-P1) and can take any type of remote with a suitable connector. Remotes with intervalomers start from around $20 on eBay.

Note that many 3rd party remotes seem to have poor terminal plugs that do not seat well in the Olympus multi-function socket but that is another story.

Peter,

Can you link me to an intervalometer that you think would work?

Just do an ebay search. I cannot recommend any particular unit. I don't think any are particularly well buit but they will generally do the job for a while. For that reason, go with the cheapest.
