Seems like mine might be a bit under the average, I'm only getting about maybe 200-300 photos on a single full charge of the battery.

I think I'm somewhere in that range.  Really depends on how much I'm composing.  AF.  Etc.  But, that is the range I expect.  I carry three batteries so I don't even worry about it.

Though, batteries are the one thing that I hate.  It is 2011.  Lets figure out how to stop worrying about batteries running out.  Batteries should last way longer.

Gotta keep the money machines rolling!  No cash in sustainable energy!  ha.

Hi -

On a really good day, ca 300. It's the thing that keeps me from going to m4/3 entirely: I have some projects that run 700-900 pictures and that is what I can get from a freshly charged BLM-1 in my E510. I get ca 650 from the E30 with the same battery freshly charged. The projects are large-scale panoramas and changing batteries is simply a no-go when running these (would involve interrupting the panorama, removing the camera from the Gigapan head, changing the battery, replacing the camera exactly as removed, continuing the panorama, all without changing any single position: doesn't work).

I have three BLS-1 batteries and need them for a full day out. Video, JPG+ORF. The smaller battery might be necessary for form factor, but it is a pain...

To my surprise the number of photos on a normal charge is noticeably smaller when using the VF2 viewfinder. I would have expected the viewfinder to use less current than the LCD screen, but apparently it's just the opposite. Still wouldn't want to live without the VF-2 though - wonderful addition to an already wonderful little camera.

I get about 300.  This appears to be normal.

Hmmm....
I don't take a lot of shots at a single event (must be a habit I have carried over from shooting with film)....and then when that event is over, I recharge....

Now that I started this thread, I seem to be getting at least 500. Strange.

I'm getting 320ish with the Olympus Battery and 450ish with a 2000mah OEM battery.

I just got back from Maui. When I arrived, I was like oh no, I forgot my charger! Who knows what my battery level was. I was going to be here for two whole weeks. I had one spare.

Well on day 13, it died and I was forced to use the spare.

I took nearly 1000 high quality pic's, in Auto setting. I think I got so many because I used a fixed lens. (Lumix 20)

I was and am amazed.

I never have to charge my E-P1. I think it died on me once.
