I've had to go back to using my E-P1 after my E-P3 crashed during a firmware update (it's gonna take 3-4 weeks to get if fixed), and I must say the E-P1 still feels great to me. In some respects I even prefer it over the E-P3. I like the button layout better, and the bottom plate has a more rounded edge, which makes it slightly more comfortable to hold than the E-P3 IMO. The slow autofucos was a bit frustrating at first, but I was surprised by how quickly I forgot that I had "downgraded". That said, I can't wait to get my hands back on the E-P3

People keep telling me that the E-P1 feels sturdier and stronger than the E-P3, is that true?
The E-P1 has huge issues with noise, especially at ISO 200. Those aren't fixed in the E-P3? I thought they actually were.

Sure, the E-P3 has much better noise reduction in the jpeg engine, but I only shoot RAW, so that doesn't affect me. It does seem to get more accurate exposures in P, A and S mode, which is very important at higher ISO settings. But with identical shutter speed and aperture settings, there is absolutely no difference.
do you notice improvement in Dynamic Range ?
Quote from: asterinex on November 02, 2011, 01:49:56 AMdo you notice improvement in Dynamic Range ?No. As far as I can see, the sensor output is identical in every aspect.
