Ladies and Gentlemen, it is my distinguished honor to announce that my PL-1 has finally come back from being fixed by Olympus, it was still under warranty so it was free to fix. I also picked up a polarized lens filter to reduce mid day glare. With my printer fixed and my PL-1 back the race is on! I have less than a month to collect some more photos, print 'em and frame 'em for my first art showing! Commence squealing!

I'm sweating bullets right now, I've been invited to show my photos at an art showing on July 3rd in downtown Montpelier. I will be right on the street during our 4th of July festival and parade. Thousands of people will be downtown, if there was ever a day to show, this will be it! I need awesome pics, and a lot of them! This is my first public display and I've only had a camera for almost 3 months! This could make a more experienced photographer nervous, I'm almost panicking. But I was graciously invited, and I'm going to throw myself into it and try my hardest. And maybe I'll sell enough prints to buy a new lens! (I can dream can't I?)

Thanks guys! Now I don't have to shoot with that crappy P&S anymore! Hahaha! It was a learning experience though, going from a PL-1 to a P&S made me realize how spoiled I am to have a PL-1! It is a nicer camera than I realized! I've spent the last 3 weeks shooting with an old 35mm SLR with no light meter, a Diana F+ and a Kodak Easyshare C613 (P&S), and I have to say Olympus has made a miracle of technology!
