Will they hold TIFF files of 5mb or more? (I've been shooting in RAW & converting to TIFF)...

I would very much recommend not uploading a file over 5mb (we only have so much storage space) so if there's a way you can downsize that...it would be much appreciated.

I would recommend image sizes of no more than 1600 pixels wide (unless a panorama where 2400 and even up to 3600 may be appropriate and 1:1 ratio 1024x1024 pixels will be enough), with JPEG compression with imanage quality set to around 85% and a file size between 250kb and up to 600kb. You don't need any more for viewing in most monitors.

For pixel peeping, just upload a section of interest at full scale.

Bear in mind that you are not uploading images for high quality printing but for viewing online. Not everyone has a ultra-fast mega-fantastic broadband connection with unlimited download allowances.
Be nice to each other, life is too short for anything else.

It's currently set at a max size of 5000x5000, that never has seemed to be a problem for us. I resize the photos automatically to an 80% JPEG.
