factory refurbished E-P1 or E-PL1 (incl. 14-42mm) go for less than that on *bay germany (~260 EUR) right now.
got myself the E-P1 incl. 17mm & 14-42mm for only 100 EUR more.

i got my second ep1 with 17 and finder new in box with full usa warrenty for 399 usd

it was a closeout at cameraland in nyc late last year

Cosinaphile that's probably the best deal I've ever heard of. I got my E-P1 from Cameraland on E-Bay back in May last year for $449. It was with the 14-42 lens, however; I had decided to buy the Panasonic 20/1.7 and someone 'prominent' (you might say, lol) on another camera forum convinced me to get the 14-42 for the sake of "flexibility." I never use that lens.

Just checked cameraland's website and they still have the P1 with 17mm kit, but at $499. Cosinaphile, what do you do with the second E-P1? Keep it as a collectible?

The refurbished price does give you a 3 month factory Olympus warranty...

my wife always borrows my cameras , friends too.... so i loan my orig ep1 which has lot its minty glow , and keep my new one case protected...also i use my older one when roughing it with less fear of cosmetic damage now.. the new one is still the newer one is stil lpampered a bit
