Hey guys,

Looks like there is finally a cheaper adapter sold on ebay for the auto 110 lenses.

http://cgi.ebay.com/pentax-110-lens-to-G1-GH1-GF1-Olympus-E-P1-E-P2-adapter_W0QQitemZ360229279133QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLens_Accessories?hash=item53df56959d

Although, if you read the description, the seller does mention that there is a "light leak" on these adapters.  Not sure what that means.  Hopefully his next batch will have the problem fixed.

if you notice the lever to release the lens form the adapter this is where the light leak apparently is , if so i can im,agine it is eASY TO CORRECT WITH A BIT OF GAFFERS Tape ,or something  like a little slug of sticky wax ?

Cosinaphile that was a bit of genius to just use a body cap to mount the lens. I am trying to find a 18mm and will go this route.

The adapters are fine, but cost too much in relation to the lens.

I have yet to see full-res samples from these 110 lenses, that would be interesting to see.

though its not full res, these pics [ one above and others nearby it] do give a sense of sharpness and  dof of some of the lenses

I am fascinated by the 110 lenses on micro 4/3. Looking to build my own aperture adapter for Pentax 110. One question to those that have already built their own adapter (with and without aperture) - what is the correct distance between the micro 4/3 flange and the Pentax 110 lens mount flange? I've looked online to find the original registration distance for 110 (flange to film plane) in the hopes of backing the new flange to flange working distance - but to no avail.
Thank you in advance...

when i adapt a lens i set the focus to infinity with a distant subject and then position the lens  before fixing the distance with a bit of cyanoacrylic glue. i dont have any exact numbers unfortunately

Interesting. I am now in the process of mounting a Yashica Electro 35 GSN lens for m4/3 and building an apertured Pentax 110 adaptor. I'll post the results up here when I am done.

What happened with your aperatured adapter?  I bought 5 Pentax 110 lenses so far this week.

This thread isn't helping me resist buying a m4/3. Already have two: Pentax 110, 18, 24 , 50 lenses. Winder, flash, Soligar 1.7 teleconverter, etc. Like an absolute idiot passed up buying third body with 18, 24, 50 lenses. Kit also had the zoom and the 70. Thought I wouldn't need it (before finding out there was a 110 adapter for M4/3). DUMB, DUMB, DUMB. Even with the 49mm filter size the zoom and 70 are small compared to Pen lenses. WHY?

If Pentax came out with a camera and lenses the size of the 110 it would be very tough for the other companies.
thanks
barondla

i laughed too until i saw the image quality , actually, in person, they look incredibly cool and unusual, 8)

all three standard primes, the 18, 24 and 50  will fit together in a shirt pocket , with room to spare!

say HA! to that! ;D

I think you have a problem.

I just can't help it when I see a full Pentax 110 set.  Body, winder, flash, all 3 lenses and case for $20.  I just can't pass it up.  I've seen just one 50mm lens sell for $20 on ebay.

The same setup I bought is up to 80 quid on ebay.  I think I did OK paying $20.

Sony NEX users have join the Pentax 110 bandwagon.  There's an adapter now.  The Sony NEX registration distance is shorter than the PEN.  That adapter is thick enough that someone should put in a aperature.
