Your best Micro Four Thirds is it for me?
« on: January 18, 2012, 06:20:03 PM »
I have been using Pentax for fifty plus years and I have my K5 and 100lbs. of lenses to use, but I want a 4/3rds. system and just a few primes.
Tell me what you would buy if money was no object and it was the best.
Thanks Rick.
Have a good day on your photo outing.....

Olympus om-d
Olympus 12mm
Panasonic 20mm
Olympus 45mm

I know the new om-d hasn't even been introduced, but it's worth waiting to see what it's all about.

I would have done the same choice as javarob, but instead of Panasonic 20mm I would have chosen Panasonic Leica 25mm.

Edit: Maybe also Voigtländer Nokton 25mm instead of both Panasonic 20mm and Panasonic Leica 25mm ;) I'm not quite sure yet!

Edit2: Hmm, maybe also the Samyang 7.5mm fisheye. Hehe, I have a problem with making up my mind here.

The best at what? The K-5 is a nice camera, so are you looking at micro 4/3 for its portability or...? You have a choice of several excellent Olympus or Panasonic bodies and lenses depending on what you want. If money is no object, go to a store and see which ones feel best.

After watching lens samples from both Voigtländer Nokton 25mm and Panasonic Leica 25mm, from the same place, I'm sure it would have chosen the Panasonic Leica :)

That lens is my reachable dream and will be purchased within the two closest months ;)
Best wishes to you all!

But as handheld meant, if you're wondering this for your own usage, I think it's best if you try out what you like the most.

Good luck with that :)
