You know you can get an E-P2 for only $299 now, right?
Yes, but that's $299 that can go to my Canon 85IIL fund... :)

Normally I do not get soft in the knees about lenses, since they are just tools to me.  True, some tools are better than others, but for the most part just tools.

However, the 85LII is an exceptional tool.  I had the opportunity to use one for 10 days through the CPS loan program, and I was highly impressed with what that lens can do wide open and beyond.  I tried talking myself out of getting one, but in the end I am capable enough to use one and get results.  So I decided to save up for one.

Compared to the first version, I have no clue but many who have used both claim that sharpness, IQ and AF speed are dramatically improved in Version II.

An E-P2 would gain me access to the VF-2, but that is about the end of it.  I'll just stick with the E-P1 for now, the horrid Live View focus method and the necessity to have to carry my reading glasses with the E-P1 so I can actually see if I'm focused...
