If I didn't already have an Olympus 45/1.8 that would be a no brainer, but since I do... maybe a Panasonic 14/2.5 and a FL-36 flash.

According to eBay, yes. $180 for the 14/2.5, $129 for the flash (used). Plus shipping.

Tough call...

Thought 1:
Buy the 45mm f/1.8

Thought 2:
Sell G3, ($400.00), add the $400.00, Buy GX1 with VH-2 or whatever the EVF called.....

If possible, I would have saved and try to reach enough for the Olympus 12mm :)

If I'm lucky, the local photo store will get my 45mm this or upcoming week, I did order it before Christmas but it seems like it's gonna take long time shipping.
Best wishes to you all!

I'm not a fan of wide angle. The 45mm would probably be perfect for most uses.

guess i would buy the 14-150 or either one of the primes coming out later this year.  not the 60, what's the other 75? though they probably should have made an 85 and not 75.

Assuming we're talking $USD here and all you have right now is the kit zoom, I'd definitely say spend your $400 in the Panasonic 20mm first. It will be your most used lens immediately, believe me. If you already have the 20mm, then get the Olympus 45mm f/1.8--that should be a no brainer. Your people (and pet) shots will  improve instantly. I have both these plus the 14-150 super-zoom and I would give up the super-zoom first if push came to shove.

I don't like wide angle at all. I think the 45mm is the best choice here.

Thought 2:
Sell G3, ($400.00)...
If thought 2 comes to fruition, contact me... ;)

Otherwise, I would either use $400 to buy a new G3, or a new PL 25/1.4.  Who knows, I'll change my mind tomorrow anyway!   :)

OK, but, it will be April before any E-M5 ship to the USA.

And I'm still saving money, once every two weeks...

It's just a thought, so no worries.

The Lumix 20mm pancake is a must have lens. Its tiny and fits in my pocket. (I don't need a camera bag.) With the vast majority of MFT lens being slow, its great to have a fat solution in my pocket for low light situations.

Hi. Since  have most ranges covered, the 45mm f1.87 makes the perfect addition. A perfect portrait lens and great in low light.

Happy shooting!

Right now, I would get a Canon FD 400/4.5, with both Canon 1.4 and 2x FD teleconverters...

I would then resume my assault upon the nighttime sky.
