I've had my Olympus E-P1 for just over 5 days now. No doubt, it has it's flaws but I did my research and made my decision after weighing out several options, including the -- soon to be released -- Panasonic GF1, which I'm sure will be a wonderful camera. Eventually, you just have to buy a camera and start taking pictures. Otherwise, you'll be stuck waiting for the next, better, sexier camera. It comes down to the pictures in the end, right? So, I bought the E-P1 fully aware of its shortcomings.
Anyway, so far, I'm pretty much in love with this camera. It's nice to able to walk around with such small camera, and make pictures that have similar image quality to my DSLR. No more strange looks from people on the street! Also, let's be honest, this is a beautiful looking camera, and I'm certain this is a factor for many an E-P1 owner. It's not the only reason to buy this camera (and if it is, you have too much money), but it's definitely a nice bonus.
The AF does stutter from time to time, is noticeably slower than my Canon 40D, but for the most part, I haven't had too many issues. Hopefully, Olympus will continue to push out firmware upgrades to improve AF performance. I would liked to have a viewfinder of sorts, but using the LCD does have it's advantages, like being able to see exactly what the exposure will look like before pressing that shutter.
I've ordered an adapter for an old, most unused Nikon 50mm f1.8. I'm pretty excited about hunting around for old lenses gathering dust in the closets of aunts and uncles to play with.
Of course, I will have to wait for that "buyers high" to wear off before I can render my final verdict, but so far, so awesome.
Does anyone have any tips for this newbie E-P1 shooter?

Cheers!
