Zeiss Planar 50mm f1.4
« on: July 22, 2009, 11:23:36 PM »
Hi,

Just got my E-P1 last week very happy love the camera.

I have just 4 questions for you pro's out there.

1. Im looking at attaching a Zeiss Planar 50mm f1.4 it has the Nikon mount, What adaptor/s do I need?
2. How do I set the camera up for this lens, it has a manual aperture, would the shutter speeds be set     manually to or will the camera take care of this?
3. Has anyone tried this setup, if so do you have any sample pics? and or a pic of it mounted

Thanks for any help you can offer  :)

You'll need a Nikon to micro 4/3 adapter.  You will be able to shoot in M or in Aperture Priority modes.  In Aperture priority, the camera will select the shutter speed (you choose aperture on the lens itself) and in M, well, it's manual.

Thanks Jman, Do you know where I could get one of these adaptors?

Is a Nikon and Nikon F mount the same thing?

Sorry for all the Noob questions!  :)

Voigtlander, Novoflex, and Rayqual make Nikon to m4/3 adapters. Some people also make and sell adapters on eBay (I got mine from seller "jinfinance", who has an eBay store called "RJ camera accessory store").
