The Pana Leica or the Pana 20mm and the Oly 45?

I'm in a dillema.
What would you choose ?

The Pana Leica 25mm 1.4
or
Pana 20mm 1.7 + Olympus 45mm 1.8

given that single choice, the  20mm and the 45mm , its a tough call too cause the  25mm looks sweet , but for value and versatility, the 2 wins over the one.

Depends on your photography style and needs. For a start, 20+45 wins, because two is more than one, but, on the other side, 25 is a great lens, that, if used correctly, may render the other two redundant....

The 20/45 is a great combo (which I had the 45),
f/1.4 is only about 1/2 stop faster, BUT, the sharpness wide open is where you see the advantage with P/L 25mm.

If I had the $$$. I'd get the 25mm f/1.4, and then save for the 45mm f/1.8 (I'd sell my 20mm f/1.7 after I get the 25mm)

I use the Oly 17mm f2.8, and 45mm f1.8.  The Pany 25mm does look interesting because its a UHR lens, but the 20mm f1.7 is bigger bang for the buck and a more versatile focal length in my opinion.

More megapixels don't necessarily mean more resolution...

I think you save money and don't lose quality if you get the 20mm f/1.7.

Thx for your reactions.
I'm going to sell my pana 20mm and my oly 45mm to buy the Pana Leica 25mm.

reasons :
*  The Oly 45mm is a great lens but it focusses very slow(sometimes not) on my E-P1 and the minimum shooting distance is fairly long. For outside the  focal length is too narrow.
*  I have a lot of legacy glass , all 50mm's (Konica, Nikkor, Olympus) which can replace the 45.
*  The Pana Leica is better than the pana 20mm 1.7 . Sharper, more contrast and a bit brighter.
*  I don't like changing lenses too much, so for inside the 25mm is (almost)perfect.
*  For once I want to shoot with Leica :)

How much are asking for the 20mm? and the 45 for that matter. I'm dead set on getting a 20 for the omd

I recently purchased the 25mm Pana/Leica.  Love the lens, tack sharp wide open.  Had a bit of a learning curve and it makes some noise (see my previous post), but I've gotten the hang of it and gotten some great photos of the grandkids.
I use my Voigtlander 75mm for distance.  But might be interested in your 45 if it's not spoken for.

Thx for the offer. I'd rather like to sell it to someone in Belgium or the Netherlands who can pick it up at my place.

Both the 20mm and the 45mm are great lens and they are tiny! Don't choose, own them both. The 20mm is a great lens for low light. I keep it in my pocket even when I don't have a camera bag. The 45mm is an incredible portrait lens. When I'm shooting wildlife, the 45mm is great to have for situations in which my long lens is too long.

I sold both lenses and bought the pana leica. I don't regret this for a moment!
The only downside of the leica is its size.

Even the Leica isn't too big, still pretty small compared to a bunch of other lens :)

Yeah, totally true. But compared to the 20mm it is big:)
