Hi there

,

I just got myself this lense, OM mount..with 3rd party adapter..
the seller of the adapter say it focus to infinity but i cant focus when the focus ring gets to infinity mark..
is that mean that it didnt focus to infinity?
or did i wrongly connect it to the lense? the way i do is turn the adapter until the a click sound appear.then i connect to body as usual..
in body setting:
lens reset : off
is : 24mm
A mode

anyone have any idea? is it the adapter problem?
if this adapter really cant focus at infinity, can i repair it myself?

try this , focus more slowly and see if you achieve focus slightly before hitting the infinity mark , some of the adapters focus alittle past infinity to insure they will be useable rather than being a hair short of infinity because of sloppy manufactering tolerances

i tried as you mentioned...but even using magnified view, i cant get the focus, even slightly,before or when hitting the infinity mark..maybe its a sloppy case as you said..i will try few more time coz maybe i connect it wrongly..thanks, you've been a great help

Sounds like there may be something wrong with the lens. Do you have access to another OM fit lens to see if other lenses focus OK?

i dont have any other OM..but will try to look around..thanks for that, i neva thoght the lens could be the culprit ;P

hi again, i already try..when the object is about 5feet far, at f2.8, i cant get the focus.
but if i stopped down to f5.6, then i can get the focus.

is this normal? with constant 2.8 lense should'nt i able to focus at any length with f2.8?

please help me clarify this.i need to know by this couple day so that i can still get refund if this lense really got problem.

no you have a problem , focus should be good at ant apeture , haspppy new year , sorry about your problem
