Hi folks, I've finally got the lens, the adapter, some free time (not enough!) so I'm posting a three-part, in-depth review of the Cosmicar/Pentax C-mount 50mm f/1.4 with the Panasonic G1 on my website (no advertisement on it, guaranteed!): http://www.javacorner.net/.
So far I've published only the first part, but the second (photographic tests) it's on its way (I hope to have it by the weekend). I need more time for the third (mechanical changes required to focus infinity).

I apologize since the photographic tests are not out yet: looking carefully at some 100% crops, I found some focus differences between images, and thus I need to reshoot them.

Are you asking the price of the adapter? I paid it $40

There is a 4/3 panny site where one guy showed samples (full open & closed aperture) of over a dozen C-mount lens. It was very telling. There are some hit-n-miss.

I also got a Pentax (Cosmicar) 12.5mm f/1.4 lens. Still waiting for the adapter. But for the price, I couldn't resist the experimentation. I see the flickr shots of the lens on an e-p1, g1, gh1 so I think I am ok.

dying to see if it vignette too much , or is cool special purpose "pinhole filter'

if its not too bad this would be like a 23mm 1.4 on the ep-1 and the answer to my dreams of a cheap fast wide prime

I posted the second part (photographic tests) of my review. Only the machine shop details are missing, but meanwhile you might want to check what I wrote, I believe it's very interesting!

Hello, I am considering on of the 25mm Pentax C-Mount 1.4 (C22525).
I have the impression that it does not require the infinity modification?
Is that correct?
