Hi,

I tried the Panasonic G 14-140mm at our local Teds, its AF is much faster then the std 14-42, I would say visually about twice as fast if not then perhaps faster then that. I wanted to purchase it there and then. Unfortunately they say its not sold individually but in the GH1 kit  :(

Hope thats helps

I have bought the Panasonic micro 4/3 45-200mmm zoom and tried it out last Wednesday. The results with the image stabilisation were superb and it is fast focussing (less noisy than Olympus' 14-42mm). The value is also good, so I am considering the Panasonic 7-14mm super wide angle, when I can aford it!

Amazon  US is saying the lens will be available for $850 in 2 to 5 weeks.

Any idea on how either of these lenses work on the E-P1 in CAF movie mode?

Hmm, I will give it a try and report back later today or tomorrow.

I have the Panasonic 45-200mm, and indeed the focusing is faster and more accurate I noticed; even at low light, at the same F stop range.
