What are the cheapest prices (new and used) for both, and which one should I get? Go!

The 20mm should be just under $300 used.  I tried for a long time to get it cheaper ($250) since brand new it's only $345, but it never worked and I gave up and bought it for $300 last month.  It's pretty much my favorite focal length.

I feel like for the 45mm, while super sharp, is not necessary since I have a couple fairly good 50mm manual focus adapted lenses.

20. Much more natural angle of view and more compact size. The prices are &*$%%#$#, especially in EU.

Based on what I see you shoot, voy, you should go for neither, :)  The Oly 9-18 is 'your' lens, - and I haven't noticed you've got that one.  You shoot wide with the 14-42, don't you?

Get both :D
But 20mm is a much more flexible focal lenght, so that's what I would get first. Unless you specifically need a portrait lens, of course.

Personally if i only had one it'd be the 20mm, more versatile. 45mm is pretty well, pretty though lol

I am going to have to agree and say the 9-18mm is the best way for you to go IMO!

But, between the 20mm and 45mm... I gotta go with the 20mm.

The 45 is freaking amazing but you better want to do detail or portrait shots and quite honestly, I'll say it again which agrees with the above, the 45 is awesome but so is a $50 Canon FD 1.8 and does pretty much the same thing.

The 20 does a lot and is the lens that is always on my camera by default.

Need more info about what you want to do. They are both excellent lenses if you prefer primes. I have the 20mm and like it for low-light situations and where compactness is desired; a good general street lens, too. The 45mm was "lens of the year" according to some reviewers and harkens back to one of my favorite film lenses, the Zuiko 80mm f2, which is a nice focal length for isolating subjects and for portraits.

As for prices, when I buy a lens I do a thorough search and may go with either a store, eBay, a high-rated Asian source, or the Panasonic Store which has occasionally had some great bargains if you qualify for EPP. I've had good luck with all of them, including some used lenses.

The 9-18mm is pretty expensive. Don't know if I could make it work.

Judging by what work of yours I've seen, wider is your calling.  What about the 14/2.5?

Not for an ultra-wide zoom. Costs about the same as a Samsung 10-20mm zoom and no more than 2/3rds the cost of a Nikon 10-24mm zoom for 1.5x crop cameras.
Be nice to each other, life is too short for anything else.

+1 at that, lisandra. ;) Two kidneys,  but no 'wide'? - jump at it, man, - you only live once!

I'm not really a big fan of ultra-wide though. I once had a Sigma 10-20mm and got rid of it after a week.

I think 12mm is about I'd go, the 14mm meets almost all my WA needs.. A few times a year, I wish I had a 12 or shorter.
But, then we do have Stitching  :D
