OM 28mm f2.8 - any good?
« on: August 19, 2010, 04:09:24 PM »
I've been so pleased with my Olympus OM 50mm f1.8 that I wondered if the 28mm f2.8 is any good on m4/3

They are dirt cheap on ebay but couldn't find anything in the 'Samples' section - anyone tried it?

Yes, I have one and it is probably the best of my OM lenses.

No, not probably - it is the best.

I haven't used it much as this was mainly used as my 'standard' night lens until I got my Panasonic 20mm and I probably haven't used it since. Must do something about that.
Be nice to each other, life is too short for anything else.

I also have one of these for my OM system but have never used it on my Pen cameras, also because I have the superb Panasonic 20mm lens. It was great on my OM-1 so I don't see why it wouldn't be the same on the m4/3.

I bought a used black Om2n for $50 at a local camera store and they gave me one of these lenses for $10 extra.  I've only used on film pics so far and am really pleased.  They just gave it away... I've seen them for about $139 on the web.

I'm surprised we don't have a sample gallery for it. I hear a lot of good things about this lens too.
