Looks like fun :) I have something similar on order...
Cameras big and small: Sony HX9V, Olympus E-P1, Canon 300D (IR mod), 7D and many others!

"37 M M...OH MY GOD!...OH MY GOD!!...37 M M!!"

That's the first time I've heard someone refer to "millimeter" as "M M".  That's a very funny video; thanks for sharing!  ;D

Hah...well thanks to you I just realized my camcorder is 37mm as well, and I have a similar wide angle lens for it...I will have to try it! To bad it's buried somewhere in the basement. In fact if I remember tight I have a polarizer filter for it as well.

Glad to see this! I wanted to try the colorsplash flash on my E-P1 but was worried I'll grill the camera. Stupid me. Hahaha. So I guess using the retro flash from the Diana F+ will work cool too ... especially the white version of the flash. Woooots! Hmm now I hope they'll come out with a white colorsplash flash

mijonju, I'm still waiting for your video on the ring flash, btw... I want to know how well it fits with the E-P1 and whether there's any problem connecting the 2 together.

hmm... I just got the colorsplash... I can't seem to figure out how to make it fire either.

Ok, so I'm in M mode. I pressed the "OK" botton on the back of camera, then which one do I choose? I chose "FILL IN" and it still doesn't fire.

(I did turn on the flash, btw... I can manually press the top (orange light) clear button to manually fire it, but can't make the camera fire the flash with the shutter...

Help?! :D

@ndroo: how did you get yours to work? did you have to change the unit?

@mijonju: PM sent, as well as pictures emailed. Thanks again!

I finally found out why it doesn't work on yours now..
i found out the reason and the way to make the colorplash work for Almost all digital camera..
the trick is simple

or you can use an adapter (idea by ndroo)
he thought about using 2 adapters to switch the positve to the negative
the 2 adapter + flash would cost you 70usd

if you dont wanna risk breaking your color splash you can mail it to me and i can guarentee you
that the modification would work 100% its free. but you have to pay for both return and sent postage frees..

but i think you can try to swap the cables :)

hmm... is there a reason why they swapped the pole on the 2 versions? (hopefully it's not for safety reason? lol)

So from the picture, I just need to swap the 2 black cables? (just wanna make sure I swap the right ones)... And do you know how long does the capacitor hold the charge for? I just took my battery off, maybe I should wait for it to discharge before attempting this? (probably week+?)

Still, my D300 were able to fire the Colorsplash... so I guess some digital cameras are smart enough to switch the pole automatically? (this reminds me of the days of crossover ethernet cables)

you can fire a shot.. then take the batteries out.. if you are afraid of the shock.. i donno if yours are black or not..
so i wont dare to say swap the black cables.. but i would say swap the cables that are attaching to the metal output.. it will work for sure.

dont unscrew it.. just get enough length then cut it and swap the cables.
i will make a video on how to dismantle the color splash..

wear a glove if you are worrying about the shock discharge.

I suppose the lomo flash will still fire on lomo cameras after this modification?
