m zukio 12mm f2 ...second day
« on: July 23, 2011, 01:27:11 PM »
this lens continues to astound me,it is simply excellent and allows me to shoot at speed heretofore unusable , it seems to process images in a way to allow excellent use of ibis ... better imho than other lenses do.  it also allows prefocus and known dof due to the distance scale and dof info on the lens
so welcome from days past

will add iso  and f stop ss info later for thee photos many to follow

Wonderful photography. Looks the kids were having a fun time with the hydrant opened up.
The other street candid are great also. I really like #1 and #6. BUT, they are all great.

Very nice stuff!! The angle of view for this lens is just so right. Obvious but acceptable distortion, and one can get so much in. With the ED element the corners/sides are so crisp! Super lens for photojournalism, street, townscapes, landscapes, interiors, travel, and night photography.
Regards,

J A P

Great images cosinaphile and a really cool street lens - you must be well chuffed!

The first one with the kids running through the spray is my favourite and an instant classic in the Time/Life mould - the lighting is absolutely spot on - tremendous!

the lens inspires you to find things that use it fov in the best way possible

its been said before but bears repeating here ,sometimes its best to stick with one prime to the exclusion of other lenses to dicipline ones eye and mind
also its just a freakin cool piece of hardware , absolutely my favorite piece of photographic gear purchased since getting the pen in 2009

im hoping to get the ep3 next week, if adorama is to be believed

[x 100 has been ordered  over a month ago ,there are still 70 people ahead of me..the ~25 x100's adorama was getting a week has slowed to a trickle of about 3 per, according to my sources ..since its pretty clear panasonic has no desire to build a sucessor to the gf1
i will look to the ep3 with m zukio 12mm lens to be a walkaround camera kit,w a  70 mm 2.8 pentax 110 and 18 24 & 50s all 2.8 in my pack as light travel glass! the 4 lenses fit in one hand togther

the 12mm lens is now my favorite m4\3 lens

That first photo is just so natural and spontaneous. I love it. Does this lens make the E-P1 much more pocketable too?
