I have a lomography fisheye camera which I don't use so much because for me developing film is a drag. So, I've been considering adapting its lens to my E-P1.

I found some people online who did the same for other DSLRs, but they all ended up putting the lens in front of another lens because of the small flange distance of the fisheye (around 28mm). However, with m4:3 cameras it should be possible to use the lens directly (with a thin adapter). Of course because of the crop factor the resulting images won't have the characteristic round shape, but still it might be interesting.

As removing the lens will surely brick the fisheye and as I'm not exactly an expert, I wanted to ask some questions here before attempting it:

1) The lens has fixed focus (hyperfocal) and fixed aperture. I read that the hyperfocal distance depends on crop factor (circle of confusion); however, I don't fully understand how this work exactly. Will using the unmodified lens on a 2x crop factor sensor work properly in terms of focus?

2) I'll have to craft a diaphragm; is its placement (distance from the rear element/sensor) very critical? What would be the ideal placement? Should I use the same diameter as in the original camera (f/8, f=10mm; fixed shutter speed 1/100s)?

3) Do you see any reason why this wouldn't work or why it may be a bad idea?
