panny and olympus  both are out to lunch with their pricing model, at these  prices  these lenses can rot on the shelves

these shortsighted companies will slow the adoption of the m4\3 format with this greed

idiots!

does anyone know anything further about the leica camera the x-1 which will be announced on the 9th?

i still cant figure  out if its gonna be a leica clone on the gf-1 or a fixed lens aps-c format sensor camera , i reading both predictions depending on the source

I'm sure the Leica lens will be good quality, but probably not worth the price?

The 4/3 version of the Leica 25 f 1.4, was a decently built lens, but had a lot of issues for the price, not up to the general Leica standard.

I haven't heard of the X-1, if it is a clone of the GF1, then regardless of the Leica badge, I might skip it, as the price will likely be doubled at least (like the D-Lux P&S's)  I was hoping for something a little more original from them, something a little nicer built, not a clone with a red dot, and an optional $200 leather case.  (what's the point?)

In Japan, the MSRP of the 45 macro is Yen 99,750 which is about 6% cheaper than the Lumix G 14-140.  I wish I could have one but it is so expensive that it even cost more than my Nikon AFS 105 VR!

Will this Panny 45 macro performance better than the OLY super sharp 50 macro?

Only time will tell, but in the meantime I plan to use my adapters and 50mm f1.8 OM lens to practice with ^^
