I make the decision today to purchase the 14-150ED....Not that cheap of a lens but hey, I wanted some reach....

So I talk to the manager & ask him if he'll give me trade in cash for the 14-42 kit lens because I told him that once I get the 14-150, it's not coming off my E-PL1 body.....Now we all know that the kit 14-42 lens is somewhat difficult to sell by itself but the manager did give me $50 bucks off....not a lot but heck, I'm a firm believer in supporting small business and this local shop has the best customer service allowing you to touch, use, feel, cameras & lenses before you purchase....

Walked out with the 14-150ED & a hood today....

Small businesses are great. Interested in hearing how the 14-42 compares to the same range on the new lens. Is the image quality similar?

From what I can tell by the few reviews that I've read, the focusing is supposedly faster and image quality is somewhat better due to the ED glass....

I still haven't shot with it yet though....
