I'm really Curious how the AF is with this lens,.. and especially how the sound of the AF is, the 17mm F2.8 is making quite a lot of noise while focussing.

the ep-1 and this lens has I.S.   unfortunately this lens with the gf-1 will not

big plastic hockey puck with a little optical element in the middle
this lens had the potential to be alot smaller in diameter perhaps like the panny 14-45
that would have been nice

the image quality for this lens looks good on the site link photos and that ,of course ,what truely matters most

I was hoping to see more shallow DoF, they are bigging up the smooth OOF blur with the 7-blade aperture.

What I'm really interested in though is the AF speed and low-light performance. I'm hoping this lens will make the E-P1 the camera it should have been!
