The Panny's 7-14 is surely a great lens, a friend of mine had it tested for a couple of weeks in August.  He borrowed my Canon EF-S 10-22 (f3.5-4.5) coupled to a EOS 50D, and IQ of the 7-14 was just as good as that of the 10-22, as my eyes saw it.  Due to it's price, and the fact that I don't shoot WA land-&seascapes that much any more, I decided, however, not to purchase it.  I plan to go north-country in some time for landscapes, but then bringing on ALL my gear, m43 AND Canon, in my car.

One thing, though.  cosinaphile's excellent photo (the first one above here) demonstrates very well one of the characteristic's of this lens: Look at the arms (as well as the legs) of the model.  Notice the size of her left arm and then compare it to her right arm. Our eyes (& brains) are so clever to compensate for this, that we hardly notices it at all, - but to a lesser degree so when eyeing a photo, than in reality.
A 7-14 really ´plays´ with the perspective and all it's angels, - so take care, don't get yourself fooled.  For land- and seascapes that wide:  Toppers!

Congratz!

Yes, this lens is great, a must have and never sell ;)
No barrel distortion(or minimal) wide open and very handy and many situations!

It's very cool close up on people too (big head - small body visa versa)

thank  you all for the kind words , this lens is facinating , its distortion and extreme angle of view are helping me see many things i took for granted in a new way,
im shoting lots of stuff both indoor and outdoor and will post more images and some 7mm and 14 mm comparison shots soon
