Looks very useful as a portrait lens. It's a C-mount, isn't it?

Yes, it's C-mount :) It's a pretty good performer for portrait shooting.

So this lens is essentially a 75mm f/1.5, with an effective focal length of 150mm on the E-P1?

I think Nordentro meant the extender. The lens has to be of the Double Gauss design for that speed.
