Hm, that's odd...which F-number was the first one? I see it it very sharp, but DOF seems too deep for a 50mm F/2.

I believe it was f16.

I have that lens, I think it's absolutely great. Definitely one of those cheap lenses that performs well and most people aren't even aware exists.

I bought this lens , i think.., looks just like it, today for 15 bucks! And an adapter for 20!
I only just bought this camera and discovered this forum, flicked thru and saw this post afew days ago. I had no idea people were doing this sort of thing, very cool! Its awakened GAS i didnt know i had..

I see sellers stating some of these older lenses are great for portraits with cropping, yet to understand this stuff, but i learn quickly

This lens really surprised me. I think I like the Konica 50mm 1.7 and the Pentax 50mm 1.4 better but only slightly. For the money this lens is a great buy. I took this photo today hand held and available light. f4.
