optically seems perhaps the best of all olys m4\3 offerings

frighteningly sharp and contrasty , finish and fit are the best yet seen in any micro 4\3 lens , i would say it ties with the voigtlander 25mm  in build quality but poles apart in attitude...manual focus is very well implimented with perfectly damped helicoid action and a 90 degree throw

on the ep1 af was snappy if not sometimes focusing on the backround
instead of foreground subject , this to be looked into manually focus is quick and assured with 10 x assist

Sounds like Oly ZD built this lens with the serious shutterbug in mind. Having a finely crafted MF ring is sweet when one prefers to do their own focusing, for whatever reason. After all, sometimes one may not want the main subject to be in focus. I hope this is the design philosophy for all the pro-designated m4:3 lenses.

though it feels exactly like a real helicoid and the action is smooth and nicely damped , it still has an element of by wire i suspect , that or the focus is internal , either way the mf is just nice on this lens

the throw is 90 degrees which feels right , not too much turning but enough room for fine tuning

As long as the right feel is there, it will be appreciated. If they go ahead with the rumored 50mm macro later this year, I wonder if they will use a long throw MF or go the internal focusing route?

These are some really nice photo's. really shows how well corrected it is, or can achieve in post.
The colors are nice, and good degree of sharpness.

I guess you're pointing to the 'lighted object' (in the air, nor'west of the bright street lamp), voyager.  I noticed as well, when the photo was developed.  Have really no idea, - but could it be some sort of a reflection of the (same) street lamp?  Mind yoy, the photo was shot through the front window of my car, - a lot of lights & reflections playing around).  Maybe some sort of an UFO?   :D   Still, the camera&lens combo does a nice job out of the circumstances, anyhow, I'd say.
