Great! Can we have a photo of the lens?

This is version II of this design, longer yet slightly less heavy and with a rotating tripod mount. If anyone cares about long lenses for m4/3, I've tried at least 6 different telephoto designs over the past couple years and I would rate the most memorable ones as follows:

  • Leica Telyt-R 250mm f4, This lens is relatively compact and lightweight, incredible build quality, excellent color rendition, virtually flare proof. The biggest drawback is that you can't mount a teleconverter on it (although you can on the 350mm telyt-R), focus action is long throw and takes some effort. You will see some CA in certain light situations with this lens.
  • Canon FDn 300mm F4 L, feels slightly bigger than the telyt but internal focusing is a big plus, superb build quality, maybe a little more contrasty-seems slightly sharper.
  • Canon FDn 300mm f2.8 L, a big jump in size and weight from the previous two lenses, I currently use this lens on my AF100 for wildlife, virtually no image degradation with the Canon 1.4X teleconverter but doing a pan with this combination requires a major tripod/head upgrade. Prone to flare. Superb color, contrast and resolution but very little difference from the Canon 300mm f4 L or the Telyt-R.

Lenses that I've used and wouldn't make the list include the Olympus OM 300mm f4.5 (too much CA, relatively low contrast and resolution in all but the most ideal light), the Canon FD 200mm f2.8 (horrible CA in the two samples I tried). Canon FD 400 mm f4.5 (strange bokeh in the one I tried).

*someday I'll post some stills from this one.

Well, a lens you don't see that often.. I'd say, the Telyt looks quite natural on a G series...
Can't wait to see more photos from this one.
