OK Nord.

I'd like some idea as to how much you spend per day on lenses???

If it's not a lot then I'd like some advice as to where to look for something like this that would be great for showing the kids the moon via the e-p1...

Do you live next door to the biggest second hand lens shop in the universe?

Cheers

Adri

I don't know, but I buy a couple of lenses every week ;)

You can get a lens like this or similar in the 100 - 200$ range. There is also cheaper alternatives like a 500mm f8 from 50$, usually with T mount or 500mm mirror lenses in the same price range that will work pretty good on the moon. Ad a 10$ 2 x converter and you can get really close to the moon.

I also made a video clip test with a 500mm mirror lens and 2 x 2 x converters
YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

We all do, ebay!  ;D

Thx, best regards

That's a very steady pan (a zoom out towards the end?) - very skilful. Do you have a fluid head on your tripod?

I would suggest a fixed exposure throughout though.....

If you enjoy your visits to E-P1.net why not donate a dollar or two to help Voyager foot the bill?

That's the speed of the moon :D No panning at all, just standing on a tripod!

Fixed exposure would be better for sure, but I can't really figure out how to lock it in video mode. Do anyone know how to solve this on the PEN?
