Astonishingly soft and saturated. But that's the charm of a Holga, isn't it?

"Holga Wide Lens For Olympus Pen Series Camera" with a focal lenght of 25mm. A new definition in wide that wouldn't be universally accepted. One assumes the vignetting and soft output is all the lens, but is the colouration lens or pp?
Be nice to each other, life is too short for anything else.

The Holga look for sure, and an interesting lens in BW imaging too. The lady putting a letter in a post box (or paying for Parking) is a nice one.
Maybe a rename to "The Holga Pancake"

Ooooh, I like that! Where can I get one of those lenses? And a follow up question if I may, how much do they cost?

It's pretty fast for a singlet lens. The original Holga is F/8 too.

Ebay and about $18.00 delivered from Hong Kong. Very tempted.

The coloration was added in post-production.  Everything else is straight out of the camera.  This has quickly become my favorite lens, although I am seriously considering an upgrade to an e-p2 or e-pl2 in order to take advantage of the vf2.

These are available through the seller buy_the_goods
current auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/HOLGA-HLW-OP-wide-Lens-OLYMPUS-E-PL1-E-PL2-PEN-E-P2-/260775602331?pt=Camera_Lenses&hash=item3cb76fe89b#ht_1908wt_936

A digital m4/3 Holga for under $20.00, better than the 35/120 OEM versions!
I must get one... it's in my watch list....

Good news, I found the lens in question at Holgacamera.net for $22.99 USD. That's a really good deal compared to the Lensbaby Toylens which costs over $100. For $23 bucks you can't go wrong.

Hi Aron,

I searched in the website.
I can only find 60mm f/8 for Olympus.
http://www.holgacamera.net/servlet/the-2102/holga-olympus-pen-lens/Detail

Where did you find 25mm f/8?

Thanks.

Dear Gareth, the Holga HL(W)-OP lens is listed as compatable with the Olympus 4/3rds system, it is a 25mm f8 lens as listed on their website. I don't know what kind of camera you have, but the lens should be compatable with the EP-1, EP-2, PL-1 and PL-2. Maybe more? I'm not sure.....if you scroll down to the bottom of the Holga lens site's page for the lens it has a listing of compatability. Good luck!, Sincerely, Aron.

WOW! I think this is the first time I've seen the Holga image quality accurately mimicked on a digital body. I might just have to pick one of these up as well.

You might also want to check out HolgaDirect (http://shop.holgadirect.com) . We also have the Olympus Holga lens as well as many kits or bundles which will allow you to experiment with other Holga accessory lenses in combination with the default Holga look (such as a Telephoto, Wide angle, close up, etc)...

Let us know if you have any questions!

Cheers,
Rick @ HolgaDirect

I was wondering if anyone knew if this lens is compatable with original Holga lenses? (Holgas have a stock nonremovable lens, and the other lenses just connect to the front of the original lens I believe, I'm not sure, I don't have a Holga.)

There is whole set of "Slip-on" lenses for the Holga 25mm... a fisheye, a wide, a macro... it makes it pretty useful

The wide angle adapter I picked up is made for the standard Holga, so the answer is yes, the original Holga lenses should work!
