The Zeiss influence seems to be evident.... Not sure is this later model has a Zeiss design... But, I like Bokeh, and colors very much.

Not sure how to accurately sample the colour from this lens....may be a calibrated colour table would do it.
What I can certainly say is that this lens (it is the NON-MC version, i.e. Single-coated) lacks contrast with back-light.

Oops! I posted my Helios 44-2 sample in the 44M-4 thread, sorry!

Although I think the differences between these lenses are small, I have reposted the sample in the proper thread.

WOW, nice sharpness, A good find..  I like the colors of these lenses... not too saturated, but nicely rendered...

Thanks, M5-User. Unfortunately I just found out that I posted my sample in the wrong thread - my lens is a Helios 44 series alright, but a 44-2 in M42 mount, not a 44M-4. So I removed the sample here and reposted it in the proper thread. I agree that the colours and sharpness are very nice!
