170mm f 1.5 that a beastin local length\ speed combo , it look good to me  :)

The shallow DOF is unbeatable....that's a very interesting lens. Which mount is it? I never heard of such, although I do a lot of digging into russian photography sites.

It's a piece of interesting Russian industry isn't it? :)
Twin brother of Helios 40 made for Russian night vision devices.

It has m42 mount. No aperture, just for wide open use.
Can be found cheap from time to time on ebay.de  :D

It's an impressive lens! Although not for photographic use originally, I guess it is still very usable for portraits.
The original Helios 40 is a very impressive piece too!
