Great lens Nordentro, the landscape shot is stunning - is that an ice-field?

I missed one of these on ebay a while back - regretting it now..... :(
Some of my snaps are on Flickr

It's solid ice with melted water pots on top ;) There is a man standing far far out if you can see him!

The lens is quite good, best IQ 50mm C-mount I have tested.

Thx for commenting all of you :)

Nice shots, - looks immensely sharp.  Wish I had one of those on my my E-P1/P2. What would be needed to spend for one, if possible, in a 9/9.5 - mint condition.

As an apropos to photo #2, and Mike's comment, - here´s a link from a Norwegian newspaper.  Not sure
it ´covers´ same area in Sweden though, but wouldn´t be surprised if it actually does.

This is so much sharper than my Olympus OM 50mm f/1.4  :(

I too would be interested in getting one of these, from an initial search on ebay it looks expensive!

You would probably have to pay from 100$ to 200$ depending on the condition of this lens.

The news you refer to is broken up ice flakes on the ocean, my picture is from lake Mjøsa with solid ice and some melted water on top ;)

Thx for commenting :)

It's always a pleasure to click on your threads Nordentro : great obscure lens, wonderful photos, that wonderful wife of yours (I hope you don't mind me saying so)

You are the king of the C mount and inspired me to some purchases over ebay during the holiday...

Hi Nordentro
This is my first post in this forum, so Hello, and I have to say, great fotos.
I just wonder if the lens is the Canon FD 50mm f1.4. Does the adapter you use fit well? How much is it?
Thank you so much.

Hi, and welcome to the forum Heoom :)

This is not FD mount, but C-mount version made for 16mm film cameras. You will probably get a nice FD 50mm f1.4 from 50$ to 100$ ;)

I understand now. Thank you so much for your reply and advice, Nordentro. I didn't know the array of lenses can be used is so much for the E-P1.
I am getting the FD adapter (18USD) for the canon 50mm f1.4, which I got for 70USD on ebay. Will try it next week.
Right now I am going through medical school interviews.. very memorable events in my life, haha. Hopefully I will hear some good news soon so I can reward myself with new photography gears.
Once again, cheers!

you will enjoy the canon fd , the number of lenses that either have commerical adapters , or can be used thru a pretty easily adapted body cap or 52 mm filter adapter and some spacers [ cost  10bucks   us funds] boggels the mind..... :) it is in fact almost any lens ever made
