EF 17-40 f/4L is one of my favorite Canon lens that I'll lug around.
As with other Canon EF / EF-S lenses, the balance is not good if they are used with PEN.
Did you stop down the lens when you took the photo?
The photo's color and contrast is a bit dull to me, to be honest.

Just learned that Kipon makes an adapter for EOS-to-m4/3 with an added aperture.
The 14 aperture blades give near circular aperture.
You may like it if you have a lot of Canon L lenses.

I was not happy with the results I got right out of the camera from this lens on the Pen.  Too bad as it is excellent on my Canon.  These were the first and only shots I took with it.  Maybe if I'd spent more time with it I'd get better results.  I just sold this lens so I guess I'll never know.
