C-mount CCTV 25mm f/1.4 Lens Samples
« on: January 25, 2010, 06:51:26 AM »
I got this 25mm f1.4 lens new on ebay for very cheap (£20) and I'm amazed at the sharpness - and i love the spiral bokeh!

first 3 taken with pop art filter...

Here are all the lens details

This one?

I've got the lens but haven't got a fine day to try it out.  :(
The lens has vignetting at corners but the sharpness is much testified by your photos.
I like the first one (which canal in London?) and the cat. :)

Shops in Hong Kong are selling another China made inexpensive C-mount CCTV lens - 35mm f/1.7
It's also quite nice for its price - no vignetting at corners.

I saw some videos shot with the CCTV lens. Is it really that fast?? I would expect to the lens to be a lot bigger and heavier with that fast of a lens. I have the Panny 20/1.7, so I don't really see the need to get it other than the smaller size.

it is thaty fast but for a smaller image circle hence the lightfalloff\vignetting at the edges,

the lens is very sharp indeed

Just got mine today.  Is anyone else having trouble getting the lens to infinity focus?  Doesn't look like it's possible wide open.

One of my first images with the lens.  Jpeg straight out of the camera.  Very excited.   8)

Marvelous deliberate defocus.
Water droplets running down the thread with scintillating lights?
Love the 3rd and 4th ones.

Just search for "C Mount lens", "CCTV lens", "TV Lens",...
I got mine with an old security cam, so it was very cheap ;)
