This lens has a useful close up ability of 1:2 making it useful for close up work

Taken with a G1 and 14/45

They are reasonably well priced on eBay and do give a very close focus. Don't expect the sharpness of a dedicated macro lens but the zoom range is quite useful on the Pen as it goes from near standard to a mid telephoto.
