About The Archive
« on: January 14, 2010, 03:55:07 AM »
The archive is to showcase photos from different lenses that can be used on Micro Four Thirds cameras. If you have a lens that you would like to add to the archive, please start a thread after making sure one doesn't already exist. For example if you would like to add a Pentax 110 legacy lens for people to add photos to (along with yourself), please start a thread using the following heading:

(Whatever your lens is and it's specifications) Lens Samples

You can also add a photo of the lens you are starting the thread for, in fact, it is actually encouraged. Whether or not the photo is one of yours does not matter, as long as it shows the lens.

Any questions should be posted in this thread.

Happy posting!

My suggestion is to make alphabetic list of all lenses in archive. That way it would be easy to find particular lens. You coult put that list on top of this section of forum.
Also, might be good idea to make simmilar section like flashes, bags, tipods etc...

Yes, the forum is for all Micro Four Thirds cameras (don't be fooled by the name!).

And how about if I would swap system, say move on to the Sony NEX and sell all my M4/3 stuff, would you still want samples coming from legacy optics (coupled with a NEX) or will the NEX + legacy be wellcome as well because this all about the legacy glass ?

I happen to have the MTO 3M-5CA  from my old Canon FT kit. Bought in London in the 70's.  I have not experimented with it much, but the few times I have the long distance shots were heavy Blue cast.  Just got my E PL1, so I need to work on the exposure settings/white balance, etc.

Your photos are beautiful..  I hope to have some to post someday :)

Just recently got my hands on a soligor f.28 28mm- liking it a lot so far, and it seems to be seriously sharp even wide open.  I'm not sure if I should start a new topic for it or post in the existing one, though;  mine is a C/D mount rather than an m42.  The focus ring is different than the example displayed in the existing topic.

Start a new thread...

"Soligor 28mm f/2.8 C/D mount - Samples"  In the "Lens Sample Archive" and if you can post a picture of the camera with the lens mounted in your 1st post... even better...
