My hart is for neutral and open Internet, but now it's in the United States House of Representatives and the United States Senate. Although it affects the whole world.

Internet theft can't be stopped. Senator Read (Senate Majority leader) is opposed to the bill as it was written, and wants to take out some of the overbearing control/spying language in it.

The Internet was invented in the U.S. by the Defense Department, so, I guess there is a attitude of control a foot.

Do you sincerely believe that every form of download is a theft?

From Adash.. So Sorry...
Think Again

1990 was a momentous year in world events. In February, Nelson Mandela was freed after 27 years in prison. In April, the space shuttle Discovery carried the Hubble Space Telescope into orbit. And in October, Germany was reunified.
Then at the end of 1990, a revolution took place that changed the way we live today.
Tim Berners-Lee

Tim Berners-Lee followed his dream of a better, easier way to communicate via computers on a global scale, which led him to create the World Wide Web.

CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, is where it all began in March 1989. A physicist, Tim Berners-Lee, wrote a proposal for information management showing how information could be transferred easily over the Internet by using hypertext, the now familiar point-and-click system of navigating through information. The following year, Robert Cailliau, a systems engineer, joined in and soon became its number one advocate.

The idea was to connect hypertext with the Internet and personal computers, thereby having a single information network to help CERN physicists share all the computer-stored information at the laboratory. Hypertext would enable users to browse easily between texts on web pages using links. The first examples were developed on NeXT computers.

Basically my response was that the Internet was not invented in USA. The link and the quotation are from CERN:

http://info.cern.ch/

Info.cern.ch was the address of the world's first-ever web site and web server, running on a NeXT computer at CERN:

Posted just a few hours ago.. and Interview with Tim Berners-Lee by the Inquire

Snip
THE MAN who founded the world wide web, Tim Berners-Lee, has hit out at SOPA and PIPA legislation.
Speaking to The INQUIRER at IBM's Lotusphere event in Florida, Berners-Lee said that SOPA posed a grave threat to the openness of the internet and had to be stopped.

I decided to block out the logo only of E-P1.net because censoring access to something is exactly what the bill is proposing. The Internet was designed as a free entity and was made to be free forever, despite the fact that it was created by the government initially has nothing to do with why it should always be free for all to access.

Hypothetically, if someone posts a link to something illegal on here, instead of me taking responsibility and removing it, the government shuts the website down forever.

In the same article:

You can send an email to your congressional reps here asking that they vote against both SOPA and a similar bill called PIPA.

Sounds just like China and the rest of the world run by dictators!

And the GOP IS BEHIND THIS BILL,
And they want less government, HA!
The Dems are trying to get out that kind of power. But, they should be walking off the floor so there is NO QUARIM to allow a vote.

Basically, in my limited view of the US politics is that the republicans are the ones who want nobody to breathe without paying them.
