Venti Java Chip Frappuccino.

Every other coffee sucks except for that.

And yes, it is coffee. I think they add an eyedropper's worth in there between all the chocolate, whipped cream, ice and chocolate chips.

two shots of expresso in a half a glass of hot milk with a  dash of turbinado sugar.................
no foamy head , no mint for me.....

and crust of good bread with a little butter from central italy..... smeared with mesquite honey with the tiniest grate of nutmeg.......... a little bit of grapefruit marmilade on the side , a few 1\4 inch slices of parma reggiano , ....you know breakfast!

is that asking too much?

I'm currently sipping on a tall Starbucks Sumatra. It's not my favourite blend (that would be Verona), but it came out nicely this time--not too bitter. However cosinaphile's post got me  hungry...

At the risk of being accused of blasphemy by the caffeine connoisseurs on this forum, I also picked up a 12-pack of Starbucks Via (their...*gasp*...instant coffee). I need it for when the company's coffee pot is empty at 4:00 and I don't feel like trucking out to SB for my fix....

You too huh? I don't get why people look at me funny when I do, it's just a different way of injecting caffeine into my body anyways.

You know, it's not bad at all--more than a reasonable facsimile of their brewed offerings. What sold me was the blind taste test at a Starbucks when they intro'd the new product. Even as a SB fan, I could not easily tell the difference...and I ended up guessing wrong! At a buck a shot, it's expensive for instant, but cheaper than buying a cup of brewed.

I think I tried a sample of it once, and it really wasn't actually that bad.

I'm not normally an instant coffee fan, but the Via brew shows what can be produced when you try to rise above the run-of-the-mill instant dreck (sort of like the PENs I suppose).
