Sounds intriguing. As long as it makes its way through the pharmaceutical mafia.

Ugh, the associated press writes the worst stories. Shoes? Really? The cancer bits are amazing though, we have so much potential as humanity.

We ought to stop killing each other first. We all "value" life, but we happen to sacrifice others' lives in order to keep our income.

I have some personal experiences with cancer treatment (though not by choice obviously) and the article is a bit mis-written:

Quote
release the medicine, thus killing the cancer cells

This is not quite correct.  Cancers are very different by type.  Now the chemotherapy (medicine) that I'm familiar with stops cellular division - but the chemotherapy does not kill the cells per se'.  There are also biological "medicines" that target DNAs, proteins, neu receptors, & limit blood supplies to tumors.

This however does NOT effect her nanoparticle theory.  What interests me (but is not stated in the article) is how would the nanoparticles find only the cancer cells - as this is quite daunting depending on the type of cancer, stage, etcetera.

I wish her all the best success!

The nano level interaction is very intriguing indeed. I would like to know more on her mouse experiments, and if they indeed DIED!
Very promising.
