Red Tails is about the Tuskegee Airmen, the first all-black American fighter squadron during World War II. It has some of the usual Hollywood misrepresentations but the computer graphics of the in-flight scenes are stunning (if as noted sometime unrealistic).

Lucas had some input from some real Tuskegee Airmen & from what I've seen (on the web) they appear to be generally satisfied (although some inaccuracies were pointed out)...

That being said,
An old neighbor of mine was a Tuskegee Airman - so this movie hits just that little bit more closer to home for me......

I heard that part of this movie was taken from Pearl Harbor?
