I like this more than your two photos in color :)

In which city is it taken?

I remember that kind of houses from both Rimini and (O)Porto :)

It is in the EXIF on Flickr...
Click on the Photo ^^^^   Then "Action" tab, then EXIF.... I could tell you, but, I won't  :P

I would love to see some more contrast here.

I suspect that, with IS off (I was taking this with a tripod), the detail would be better...

Agree with Voyager just a bit more contrast in shot would help.

Hehe, the soft tone without too much contrast is one of the reasons I really like this photo. It feels more laid back than many other photos I've seen :)
