Just read this - apologies...
I'm glad you found a buyer because I'm tapped out now due to Christmas coming up....

It is a great camera... But, I wanted the 14mm more, and I needed to sell it....

My film cameras are short lived with me... in a 5 year period,
I had a Bessa R2, Canon EF (film), Nikkormat FTN, Leica M5, Contax G1,, and know I have a Konica C35, Ricoh Singlex TLS, and looking for a Nikon FE2
for a Nikon 24mm Ai-S I just acquired, I'd settle the original Nikon FE though.

But I have zero interest in that particular Contax model......Not saying it's a bad model, just saying that isn't hasn't peaked my interest...

If it wasn't a bad model, Contax would probably still be in business. However, it was the first full frame digital SLR.

and it still grabs $1k's of dollars for a DSLR, even though it was the 1st digital FF....

That and the 35mm models, though great., lacked a lens lines line that people wanted.(Kinda what Zeiss is doing with Sony, same old startagy).. The Yashica line in C/Y was not really any better than average lenses... a few were Zeiss influenced...

I think, for the same money, people bought Nikon mostly, which already had an established line with many pro and semi-pro lenses, as Canon did also...

Then. there is marketing... a word not found in the Contax Policy book, apparently...

Great colors with that film..
The VF Mask does move, but, with a little practice, it will be 1st nature.

The Bokoh is lovely, and the 3D illusion is really nice with Zeiss G 45mm f/2
