I use 16G class 4 card without any problems, but was thinking about upgrading to a class 6 or 10 for faster sequential shooting.

I've got 2x 4G cards ... I always preferred having 2x smaller cards, less financial stress and if one goes wrong:  i have another one

I have two 8GB Sandisk Ultra II cards for my E-P1, although I've never needed to change to a 2nd even with jpeg+raw turned on. It just isn't a fast shooter so I never fill one up. Why that model? Brand name, decent performance, good capacity and value.

I also used it with 2GB cards early on. A 300x card was ok, but an old 60x card felt really sluggish.

I had a pair of 2GB that were spare to the Nikon D50, then those got used in a digital photo frame (as an a/b pair) and I found I had accumulated three 4GB cards over christmas - seeing them go cheap etc, which normally I wouldn't have because the Nikon D50 can't use them. I probably only actually need a 1GB in there most days, like the D50 has in it.

play, so to follow-up, I'm on RAW with a 4GB Extreme III ... formatted the camera suggests that I'll have 265 images on the card, of course the reality you'd get more than 300 images once they are recorded since actual file sizes vary depending on the tonal range recorded (or is it the amount of black or white in the image, can't remember).

While back in my wildlife photography days I might, might, might, exceed 1000 images in a day my frame rate on a street camera would be much much lower.

curiously I ask ... what are you boys/girls up to with 16G or 8G cards, are you shooting video?

As mentioned before, the camera reports... 300+ images on a 8GB card in J+R mode. That seems about adequate. The prices are so low anyway, I'd ask the opposite question: why do smaller cards still exist?

I have an 8GB Sandisk Ultra II and a spare 2GB card but have never needed to use the latter.
Be nice to each other, life is too short for anything else.

I have 2x 4 gb class 6 kingston and 2x 1gb class 4 from my wife's ixus 75. When I'm in street shooting 1 of the 4gb and 1 gb  just in case is more than enough for me.

8 Gig Class 6, I tried a class 10, but I didn't see any speed increase in saving files. I shoot raw.
They may be faster, but I can't tell any difference.

I miss that 16GB card.

Now I only have a 2GB and a 4GB, doesn't really matter which one goes in which camera between it and my Pentax K-x.
